Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the RAE Association (Vic) Inc. will be conducted on 19th April 2026 with full details contained in the attached documents below.
Could I encourage you to take a few minutes to read these documents and assist the Association, if possible, by attending the meeting or at least by providing your proxy vote?
An AGM is a crucial meeting for any organisation as it allows the Association to provide an overview of the year, financial position, and vision for the future. It also allows the members to voice their opinions, concerns and help shape and develop the future of the Association.
This year’s AGM is considered even more important due to proposed to amendments the Constitution. For full details refer to the document styled “Background and Briefing” and “Overview and Summary” which will assist in understanding the rationale for the proposed Constitution changes.
Briefly the proposed changes to the Constitution involve (a) amending the membership by the relocation of several membership categories, (b) amalgamation of two (2) Honorary membership categories into one and (c) renaming of the membership categories.
Everyone is encouraged to attend the AGM whether a member of the RAE Association or not but to have an influence in the voting you must be a full financial member.
If you are unable to attend you can still have your say and input by submitting a proxy vote.
It would be helpful (although not essential) if you could advise the Secretary of your intention to attend the AGM or alternatively if you require an apology recorded.
